Altera is a Shopify app that helps merchants import and export store data (e.g., products, variants, inventory, customers, and orders) for bulk edits, reporting, and migrations.

Export to Google Sheets & Google Drive

When you choose to export to Google in Altera, we connect to your Google account to create or update files in your Google Drive containing the data you selected. You can export directly to a Google Sheet or save files (such as CSV or Excel) to your Google Drive.

How the Google Export Works

  1. In Altera, go to Settings → Remote Connections.
  2. Create a new connection to Google Sheets or Google Drive.
  3. Choose which Shopify data to export and select the fields to include.
  4. In the remote export section, select the remote connection you created.
  5. Export your data—Altera writes it directly to your Google Drive.

Why Altera Requests Google Access

We request Google access solely to perform the export you initiate—specifically to create and/or update files (Google Sheets or other formats) in your Google Drive. We do not request access for advertising, data brokerage, or unrelated purposes.
