Country-specific HS codes in one column

Country-specific HS codes are easier to edit in this update. Each variant row now has all of its codes in one cell, next to the general HS code.

What’s New

#

• Variant HS Codes By Country - one cell holds every country code of the variant, for example US:6109100010; CA:6109100000 (Variant HS Codes By Country).
• HS Code / US columns - imports read one HS Code / <country code> column for each country, and merge them with the other HS code columns (per-country columns).
• HS Code and COO - imports read these headers as Variant HS Code and Variant Country of Origin.

Improvements

• Clean codes - imports remove dots and spaces from country HS codes, so 6109.10.00 is saved as 61091000.
• Clear errors - a cell that can’t be read, or a country with two codes in one row, now fails only that product with a message that names the country.

Heads-up

#

• One column instead of many - exports write Variant HS Codes By Country instead of one Country HS Code: <Country> column for each country, also in saved and scheduled exports.
• Old files still import - files with Country HS Code: <Country> columns import as before, but update any tool that reads the exported columns.
