Order exports can now include the fees Shopify Payments charged on each transaction. Add the columns to an export to see your payment processing costs per order, for reporting, reconciliation, or margin calculations.
What’s New#
- Transaction: Fee - the processing fee Shopify Payments charged on the transaction, before tax, summed across all fee entries such as a foreign exchange fee (see Transaction: Fee).
- Transaction: Fee Tax - the GST or VAT charged on the fee, so
Fee + Fee Taxgives the tax-inclusive amount you paid. - Transaction: Fee Rate and Fee Rate Name - the percentage applied and Shopify’s name for it, such as
international_card_not_present, which explains why a transaction was charged that rate. - Transaction: Fee Flat, Fee Currency, and Fee Types - the fixed part of the fee, its currency, and the fee entries that were summed.
The new columns are in the Transactions group of the orders export and are export only. They stay blank for transactions on other gateways, such as manual payments.
