You can export collections with Altera directly from the Shopify admin: open the **More actions** menu on a collection and select **Export with Altera**. Until now the app had to choose between the Smart Collections and Manual Collections data types for that export. It now uses the new Collections data type, which Shopify released this summer. This means the export always finds the collection and supports the latest collection features, such as collections that combine rules with hand-picked products.

### Improvements

- **Admin export links** - the collections list and a collection's detail page open the export screen with the unified Collections type selected.
- **No flickering card** - the second export card that briefly appeared and then vanished while counts loaded is gone.
- **Newer file format** - these exports use the Collections format, which handles collections that mix rules with hand-picked products.

Links that Shopify Sidekick creates for a collection open the Collections type as well. Adding Products or Translations alongside the collection still fills in the Collection ID filter for you.
