You can now export the confirmation number for each order. This is the code that Shopify shows to your customers on the order status page and in the order confirmation email, so you can match customer inquiries to orders in your exported data.
🚀 What’s New#
- Confirmation Number column - select it in the General category when you set up an order export, and each order’s confirmation code appears on its first row (field reference).
- Export only - Shopify generates confirmation numbers automatically, so the column can’t be set during import.
To find a specific order, you can also filter exports by confirmation number using the Confirmation number export filter.
