Shopify recently added metafields to inventory transfers, and Altera now supports them end to end. Store ERP references, freight account numbers, handling instructions, or any other custom data on your transfers and manage it all from a spreadsheet.

### What's New

- **Export transfer metafields** - select the new Metafields column group when exporting inventory transfers to get a `Metafield: namespace.key` column for every definition on your store.
- **Import transfer metafields** - add `Metafield:` columns to an inventory transfers import to set values when creating or updating transfers.
- **Metafield template** - the generated metafield import template now includes an Inventory Transfers tab with your transfer metafield definitions.
- **Transfer definitions** - metafield definition exports and imports now include definitions for the Transfer owner type ([Metafields guide](https://support.getaltera.com/en/articles/11776434-metafields)).
