Removing EANs, UPCs, or other barcodes from your catalog used to require editing each variant by hand. Now a blank Variant Barcode cell clears the barcode, so you can remove codes in bulk the same way you clear SKUs, compare-at prices, and costs.
Improvements#
- Blank cells clear barcodes - leaving a Variant Barcode cell blank when updating a product removes that variant’s existing barcode.
- Creates unaffected - new products and variants with blank barcode cells are simply created without a barcode, as before.
Heads-up#
- If your update files include a Variant Barcode column with blank cells, those barcodes will now be cleared instead of left unchanged. Remove the column from your file to leave barcodes untouched.
